Some Days

Some days are tough. You question everything, you doubt everything, and you fear everything.

Some days you just can’t fathom why things are the way they are and you don’t even know if things will get better.

Some days you lose hope, you lose hope in yourself, you lose hope in what you were once certain of, and you lose hope in what you were looking forward to.

Some days you just break down and cry, some emotions are too heavy for words to carry, some things hurt so much you bleed in tears, so you let the tears fall like rain.

Some days you feel like your mind is about to explode, you know what the word of God says but it seems like it’s for others and not you, the advice you give people applies to them but not you, the prayers you pray for people, you can’t pray for yourself.

Some days you wish you could see the future, maybe you will be more relaxed, maybe you won’t have days like this, maybe there will be no need to write this.

Some days you wish you had all the answers. You wish God will chat you up and tell you everything you need to know.

On days like this you don’t get the exact answers you seek, but you do get something called ASSURANCE: He knows, and a nudge that is called TRUST:He will bring it to pass.

It is not going to be easy, but it will always be the right thing to do, and the first step is to take it one day at a time knowing He is with us and never leaving us, whether we feel it or not.

So we pray for grace to trust Him more. We won’t always have life figured out, but we can trust Him who has life in His hands, trust that He knows more than us, trust that He knows what is good for us, trust that He will direct us, trust that every good and perfect gift comes from Him, trust that He has a time for everything…

And if we get weary, or the cares of life causes us to make a detour, we can at any point always run to the throne of grace, for strength, for grace, for encouragement, for rest, for a reminder….

”I have never had clarity; what I have always had is trust”. Mother Teresa

‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just to take Him at His Word

Just to rest upon His promise,

Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”………

Victory

Its been awhile since I have been here, its been a tough couple of months, and it’s really hard to put your thoughts into words especially when that is the last thing you want to do.

One of my days of ‘lamenting’ to Him while i was in prayer meeting,I said ‘i don’t even have anything good to write about’ all i have been doing is praying, crying, praising, believing in You for a miracle’ and He said(it came like a thought) WHY DON’T YOU WRITE ABOUT THAT.

So here I am to talk about my journey so far. We all know that life isn’t a bed of roses, but some of us believe in God, and that He is able to cause us to triumph in every situation. However it can be painful sometimes when you pray and pray and things don’t seem to be getting any better, trust me the period of waiting is the true test of faith…

Now i understand so much about faith that no book can teach me because I’m learning on the go. Faith and patience work together, when you read about Abraham and his unwavering faith, don’t take it for granted, faith is not a joking sturvs lol. I also understand that faith in God encompasses faith in His timing…. I believe God will give me what I need but I also need to believe that He is never late, the time He will do it is the perfect time, because I know God is faithful, He is reliable I have to trust Him absolutely.

So while I’m yet to possess what I need in the physical, i know and believe that God is for me, His thought towards me are of good and not of evil, i confess the word daily and I WAIT.

Waiting does not mean we don’t do anything, in fact waiting itself requires us to sow the seed of the word every day. We continually seek the face of God in prayers, sing songs that remind us of the powerful and mighty God we serve. Even in waiting I understand the need to have unwavering faith, and that doesn’t come cheap.

I understand that victory lies in speaking what God is saying irrespective of the challenges I see.

And the joy of waiting on God is that daily He renews my strength. Isaiah 40:31… So even if the situation looks the same, as long as I’m anchored on God and His word, I have strength to keep on pressing and believing. Sometimes things happen immediately, other times it takes awhile.

So be it admission, future partner, exam success, an unfinished project, a baby or babies. We serve a God who never fails, our hope is not dashed because our waiting won’t be in vain. Selah

For The Pain

One of the hardest thing to do is TRUST GOD especially if you are like me, always thinking things through, who is a ‘semi’ control freak, and who likes to have things go according to plan.

But things don’t always go the way I want and countless times, God has showed up for me, even at times He didn’t have to.

What do you when you are downcast, moody, worried and scared?

Talk to a friend? What if the friend you want to talk to isn’t available? Ever noticed sometimes when you talk to a friend, you will feel better only for the duration of the chat or call?

Drink coke? You know that does more harm than good eventually.

Listen to music? Well that could help, but it doesn’t deal with the situation, just makes you feel good, deep down you still feel terrible.

On one of those days, a friend reached out to me;

Me- I’m so scared and worried. About family, future, results, being single, life. Talking to anyone won’t make the ‘feeling’ go away.
Him- People can only try, but that is not the solution. I talk to myself with the word of God.
Me- ohhh
Him- Psalm 42:11. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Him- God didn’t bring you all the way from diploma to come and fail you now.
Him- He’s a miracle worker. He is El-shaddai( More than enough)
Him: Does worry come from God?
Him: You have to speak to the worry.
Him: Tell it what God’s word says.
Him: be not anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Don’t forget it was God that called you into his family! You didn’t call yourself. He called you! He will take care of you

So what do you take for the pain?

THE WORD OF GOD.
Speak it, pray it, cry with it, confess it daily!!

Faith is not that you know how God will do it, or how He will do it. It is absolute BELIEVE IN;

He that did not spare His son, But offered him up for us, how will He not also with Him, freely give us ALL THINGS. Romans 8:32

The almighty, the one that sits in Heaven and makes the earth his footstool, the MONARCH of the UNIVERSE.

The one who is able to supply ALL our needs according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19

YAWEH!!! Chi onye je monu, agbanilagbatan, Osenobua, the rock of ages, The LION of the tribe of Judah, He has never failed, He will never fail.

He cares about us, He will take care of us.
